摩周湖（Lake Mashu）
日本で最も透明度が高いと言われるカルデラ湖です。
そのためよく晴れた日の湖面は吸い込まれそうなほどの青色、通称『摩周ブルー』とも呼ばれ、その美しさは神々しさを感じるほど。
2001年には世界遺産にも選出されました。
また『霧の摩周湖』と言われるほど霧の発生も多く、カップルで訪れた際には『湖面が見えると結婚できない』などという伝説もあります。
周囲には3つの展望台があり、そのうち一番人気のある第一展望台はレストハウスがあります。
ここは野生のエゾシマリスの餌やりなどもできるため、初めての観光やお子様連れなどにおすすめです。

In a sunny day you can enjoy the beautiful blue as a lake is sucked likely, also known as "Mashu Blue." Beauty of the lake would let you feel even the divineness.
In 2001 it was also elected to the World Heritage Site.
"Lake Mashu of fog" is famous for frequent occurrence of fog.
There is also a legend that is said "If you see the clear surface of the lake, you can not get married" when a couple visited.
There are three observatories around. The first one is the most popular observatory with the rest house.
It is recommended for the first time tourist and a family with children because you can enjoy feeding Ezo Chipmunk of wild.

屈斜路湖（Lake Kussharo）
日本で最大、世界でも2番目に大きいカルデラ湖です。湖心にある中島も面積は5.7平方キロメートルもあり、圧巻の大きさを誇る湖です。
天気の良い日の湖面はコバルトブルーに輝き、周囲の原生林とのコントラストは見るものを魅了します。
また冬には凍結した湖面が盛り上がる『御神渡り』も見られます。
時には長さ10km、高さは2mにもなるこの氷上現象は、古くから信仰の対象ともなってきました。
観光スポットとしては、湖畔の砂地を掘ると天然温泉が湧き出る『砂湯』が有名です。
その他ヨットやウィンドサーフィン、釣り、キャンプなどのレジャーを楽しむことができます。

硫黄山（Iozan・Mountain of sulfur）
硫黄の独特の匂いと音を立てながら上がる白い噴煙が有名な、屈斜路湖畔の観光名所です。
山の中腹にある火口跡は通称『熊落とし』と呼ばれ、ここはかつてアイヌの人々が熊を追い落としたとされています。（現在は立入禁止）
大地の躍動を感じさせるこの山の山麓には多くの高山植物が茂り、なかでも白エゾイソツツジの群生地『つつじヶ原』は一見の価値があります。

Crater in the middle of the mountain is commonly referred to as "drop bear", here we are once been the Ainu people dropped chasing the bear. (Now it is off-limits)
